1. Click 'Apply Now' for the card option you want to apply for.

2. Create an account or login to your existing account using your credentials.

3. Confirm that you are applying for the correct card and click the ‘Begin Application’ button.

4. Select the type of card you are applying for from the drop-down menu, enter your personal details and click then ‘Continue’ button.

5. Enter your contact details and at least 10 years of your address history which includes your current address. This is used for background checks, including Criminal Intelligence Check (CIC). Click the ‘Continue’ button.

6. Enter your work details including the email address of your employer/ contractor if you are applying for MSIC. An email will be sent to the email address provided, requesting operational-need-verification.

7. If you are not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, enter your Work rights details and click the ‘Continue’ button.

8. For MSIC applications, list one proof of identity document from each of the below categories and click the ‘Continue’ button.
- Category A Document - Start of your identity in Australia.
- Category B Document - Link to your identity by means of a photo and signature.
- Category C Document - Evidence of your identity in the community.
- Category D Document - Evidence of current residential address, only if your current residential address was not listed on any of the above documents.

9. Complete the required induction courses and tests and click the ‘Continue’ button.
MSIC Induction - Required for MSIC Only and MSIC & Access Applicants

Click the ‘Start’ button and click the ‘Launch Course’ button if you are prompted.
Site Inductions - Required for Access Only and MSIC & Access Applicants
- Click ‘Add site induction’.
- Select the sites you require access to and click the ‘Add inductions’ button.
- Click the ‘Start’ button on the course you want to complete and click the ‘Launch Course’ button if you are prompted.
- To retake a test, click the ‘Take Test’ button.
- Inductions are considered completed once you have 2 ticks beside them. Your card will be updated automatically within 20 minutes of course completion.

10. Search for and nominate a post office for application lodgement and card collection, select a payment method and click the ‘Continue’ button.

11. Review the information in the ‘Preview of your details’ page and click the ‘Change’ button to edit details if they are incorrect.

12. To confirm that your information is correct, tick the checkbox at the bottom of the preview page, click ‘Print form’ and the ‘Final Step’ button.

13. Take your printed form to your nominated lodgement post office along with your original proof of identity documents, and payment (if paying at Australia Post).
