By the end of this guide you will have signed in, accepted the terms of use, and know your way around the main screen.
Before you start. You need two things from your organisation admin: the invitation email, and the username and temporary password they created for you. Accounts are not self-service. Your organisation admin creates the account, sets the first password, and passes it to you; if you have the email but not the password, go back to them rather than resetting.
Steps
Open your invitation email and select Accept Invitation. The email names the company you are joining, your user type, and the OneStop username to sign in with.
On the Sign in screen, enter that Username and the password your organisation admin gave you, then select Continue. It is a username, not your email address, so john-test rather than john@example.com.
Change your password. The one your organisation admin set is a starter, and replacing it is a round trip: sign out, then select Reset password on the sign-in screen and follow the email. There is no password field inside OneView.
The first time you sign in, OneView shows the terms and conditions. Read them and select Accept to continue. You only do this once.
You land on your home screen: the Action Center, a set of panels showing the containers that need attention today.
Finding your way around
The navigation rail on the left is your map. What you see depends on what your organisation has access to, so your rail may show fewer items than a colleague's.
Menu item | What it's for |
|---|---|
Action Center | The containers and tasks that need attention today |
Shipment Watch | Track and manage your containers |
Empty Release | Follow empty release notices from the shipping line |
Schedule Search | Vessel schedules across lines and terminals |
Contacts | Your organisation's directory |
Settings | Your organisation's container list, vessel tracker and PRA settings |
Depending on your organisation's setup, OneView may offer you a short guided tour on your first visit. Take it: it walks the same ground as this guide, inside the product.
It worked if you can see the navigation rail, and your name under the avatar in the top right. Manage Account under that avatar is where your own profile lives.
If it didn't, see Raise a support request. The two most common first-day issues are an expired invitation link (ask your organisation admin to resend it) and typing an email address into the Username field instead of the username from the invitation email.
