Once you have added your containers, you can then select them for booking. Containers can only be booked once they show a Ready status. A ready container is one that the terminal has defined as available to book. You may need to check with the terminal to understand what qualifies as ‘ready’ at that site.
If a container doesn’t show a ready status, it will not be available to book, please refer to our How to receive a notification when a container is ready for booking via the Container List screen article.
To book a container against a slot, follow the below steps:
- Select ‘Bookings’ and then ‘Container List’ via the lefthand side navigation menu of the VBS homepage. You will then see your container list.
- Then click the checkbox next to the container/s you want to book and then click the ‘book’ button.
Note: you can select all the containers by clicking on the checkbox located in the header of the 'Book' column. - You will see your selected pickup and drop off containers on the lefthand side of your screen. To book these containers against a zone, simply select the container, the system will automatically filter the zones available for that container.
- You can also pick your desired day via the 'Calendar Bar', this feature allows you to book containers across multiple dates.
- Next, select the desired date and zone from the available slots to add the container to the selected slot. You will not be able to add any more containers when a zone has reached its limit.
- Finally, to confirm your bookings, click ‘Confirm’ and complete the booking process. You must confirm your slot bookings before the two-minute timer in the top of the screen runs out, otherwise your selected slots will not be confirmed.
- Once you have confirmed your booking you will receive a booking summary.
